Services at the Schine Student Center
The Syracuse University Bookstore offers an assortment of S.U. apparel, gifts and souvenirs, plus full-line service department for home and personal fashions, a convenience market, office and electronic supplies, general books and textbooks, art supplies and an art gallery, and a newly expanded computer and photo department.
A conveniently located department of the Treasurer's Office, Cash Operations. Services include: student check cashing, acceptance of payments to student Bursar accounts, refund and short term loan disbursements, and also the sale of chits for the School of Visual and Performing Arts.
Lockers are available on a semester or annual rental. For a nominal fee, commuters or other students can take advantage of the convenience of a Schine locker.

The University offers many meeting places for use by student organizations, administrative and academic departments. To accommodate the elaborate conference or weekly meeting needs of student groups, Info & Event Scheduling (IES) is on hand to match events with the ideal campus location.
In addition to search and match services, IES assists these groups in scheduling support services such as security, custodial, physical plant, parking and many other services for their events. The Schine Student Center offers meeting space for groups ranging from 15 to 35 people. Some of the meeting rooms in the main lounge are equipped with folding partition walls, which, when fully opened, allow for a multi-purpose room seating for 100 to 150 people. Also located within Schine is the Goldstein Auditorium, home to numerous concerts and lectures.
A Computer Cluster featuring 25 PC's with Windows XP Operating System are available to students and faculty for word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
ATM's are conveniently located within the student center.
The Center for Career Services is where students can take advantage of a multitude of services including employment opportunities and graduate school assistance offered both to graduate and undergraduate students.
The Schine Dining Center offers students separate food islands featuring everything from salads to pizza and deli sandwiches in a 287-seat, self service dining facility.
The Center for Public and Community Service provides students with information on how to get involved with community service in the more than 400 agencies in Syracuse and Onondaga County.
Schine Copy Center offers laser printing, scanning , collating and duplicating services including resume printing. Some of the class readers are available here as well. Schine Copy Center's phone number is 443-3455. |
