Office of Residence Life
The Office of Residence Life (ORL) is responsible for staffing residences on both North Campus and South Campus. South Campus is composed of three residence halls and apartments for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as family housing. South Campus offers students the opportunity to experience college life by living in an autonomous environment of open double rooms in our Skyhalls or apartments. Living on South Campus prepares students for their next phase of life where they may be moving off-campus or living on their own following graduation.
The South Campus Office of Residence Life is located in room 206 of the Goldstein Student Center. Realizing that a move to an apartment-style living community from a traditional residence hall setting can be a somewhat challenging process, the office has implemented several programmatic and service initiatives for its residents. Some of these include a comprehensive conflict resolution process for students experiencing difficulty with their roommates or neighbors. Needs and student population-specific programming is also sponsored through the office, catering to the different constituencies represented at South Campus: Undergraduates, Graduates, Families and Children, and Transfer students. In addition, the office serves as the main resource for student issues and crisis. There is a staff member on-call after office hours and during the weekends. At any time during the week, there is always someone to assist students whenever there is a need.
South Campus Housing Office
Located at room 206 in the Goldstein Student Center, Housing Office responsibilities include the administration of housing and meal plans, SUpercard purchases, and related financial functions. Through our collective efforts, we provide a clean, secure, and comfortable "home away from home" for a resident population of approximately 7,200 single students residing in 18 residence halls and over 1,000 apartments. All areas of our organization use methods to continuously evaluate facilities, services, and procedures to assist planning quality improvements. As with all of our endeavors, we hope to expand our accessibility and services to the University community.
